An interview with Brandon Evans, the CEO of 1Heart Journeys, about my experience sitting in ayahuasca ceremonies and the impact those experiences had in my transition from start-up exec to artist.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • How living society’s dream fueled depression rather than fulfillment in my life

  • The importance of ayahuasca preparation and integration to support the invaluable insights I received

  • How my creativity has flourished and grown since her Journeys at 1heart

BLOOMBERG: “Homebuyers Swarm to High-Risk, High-Reward Fixer-Uppers in Red-Hot Market” (FEB 2022)

I was interviewed by Bloomberg on the recent trend of millennials buying fixer-uppers.

IF LOST START HERE: A Conversation about Thoughtful Therapy with Alex Maceda (nOV 2019)

A detailed conversation about how I approached building the brand and client experience at Two Chairs, why in-person therapy is important, and the evolving stigma story.

“Everyone is on their own journey with telling their personal mental health story, but we hope that the work we’re doing  at Two Chairs is making therapy a little more approachable, and creating more space so that you can talk to people about your experience with therapy when you’re ready. We want to humanize therapy more.”

Stanford gsb: wOMEN IN management Retreat & coNFERENCE (oct 2019)

Honored to be one of four female-identifying alums chosen to speak on a panel on the intersection between wellness and career at Stanford GSB’s Women in Management Retreat and Conference in 2019. Addressed over 300 MBA students on how to integrate wellness into their life (professionally and/or personally), navigating their MBA experience and my own experience managing my full-time job while pursuing different creative ‘side hustles.’ I spoke about the pressure to perform and feeling like you are never ‘measuring up’ - only to realize you are the one holding and creating the measuring stick.

Eterneva: Time to Talk Day: An Interview with Two Chairs on How to Hold Space and Engage with Mental Health Awareness (fEB 2020)

An interview about misconceptions about mental health and the power of talking about experiences for Time to Talk Day in 2020.

“Growing up, I rarely heard stories or discussion about mental health, and certainly never saw someone I identified with come out and talk about it openly. That lack of discussion prevented me from asking for help when I needed it, a story that unfortunately I hear too often from both peers and clients. At Two Chairs, we believe that same lack of open discussion reinforces stigma, which is one of the main barriers to accessing care.”
