$450.00

Oil on canvas, 11” x 14” x ⅞” (canvas), 12” x 15” x 1.5” (pale maple frame), 2023.

A white lily, along with jasmine, is my favorite flower. I keep them around my home as much as a can and often gaze at them when thinking about concepts or compositions. There is nothing I want more than to be small enough to sit in one – I find myself often holding the bloom to my face, wondering what it would be like if I could climb in. Flowers are the inspiration behind this whole collection, but the lily is certainly the one who was the driving force.

Interestingly enough, my great grandmother was named Lily, and my grandmother was named Azucena, tagalog (filipino) for a white madonna lily.

This painting was concepted and completed at home in Joshua Tree, CA. The painting ships framed with hanging hardware installed. Please note this painting is included in my show, “from dreams i had of flowers” at 29 Palms Art Gallery and will ship first week of October, after the show closes.
