Alex Maceda (b.1989) is a Filipina-American artist and writer living and working in New York City.  Informed by observation, but untethered from strict representation, her work moves between abstract and figurative: undulating figures, anthropomorphic landscapes, and swaths of color morph in and out of each other and the spaces they occupy. She has exhibited nationally including recently at Future Fair 2025 (NYC). She holds a BA in Classical Studies from Dartmouth College, an MBA from Stanford University and is a 2nd year MFA in Painting at NYSS.
